The movie TROY wasn't quite what I've expected. I'm not an expert on movies but it was very obvious that the story revolved around the major characters (or maybe the major actors) and not the real tale, not to mention the acting was not really good and that the screenplay is quite lame. So what if it was only inspired by the Iliad... But Iliad is a great story (which I actually read ages ago) and its timelessness and legendary magnitude is something that sparks the imagination. My friend and I were rather disappointed, but some people in the theater were actually amazed by the movie. You would even think that they don't care about the story or if they actually KNOW the Iliad! But the effects were kinda ok, I guess.
